Empty Net - Canadian Ringette Championships - Calgary 2022

Sponsors Needed

The Canadian Ringette Championships’ primary source of funding is corporate sponsors. Without the support of businesses, this event will not be possible. If you are part of a company, big or small, Ringette Calgary invites you to participate in “Bringing Back the Energy!”  After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, this national event is ready to move forward.  We are hoping your business would be interested in becoming a sponsor for the 2022 Canadian Ringette Championships (CRCs).  This “fastest game on ice” event will be held in Calgary, April 3-9, 2022 at the Markin MacPhail Centre (Winsport) and Seven Chiefs Sportsplex. The CRCs will be bringing together 48 teams from across Canada in the U16 and U19AA age categories as well as the adult National Ringette League. Many players from these teams go on to represent our country on the Junior and Senior National Teams.

The sport of Ringette found its roots in Canada in 1963 with the goal to increase women in sport.  Today, there are over 32,000 registered players on nearly 2,000 teams across Canada, with Calgary having one of the largest local associations in Canada.   We are very proud that our local ringette association is already back to pre-pandemic registration levels for the 2021 – 22 season.   The funds provided by hosting this event will not just be used to cover the basic requirements of hosting the Championships. They will also help us expand our initiatives of highlighting our local “Ringette For All” Program, our Indigenous sisters and brothers, and available mental health support.
